  • London to Brighton Challenge a new event for 2012, open to anyone who can walk, run or jog

    In this Olympic new year why not challenge yourself and raise valuable funds for the EPT.

    We are now a charity partner to the 100km London2Brighton challenge which looks an amazing event taking place on 12-13th May. It really does look incredible and is being coined as a journey most will walk, some jog and a few hardened types may run it all or a mixture of all three.

  • Papers cast significant doubt on the current miscarriage diagnosis guidelines

    This week an important series of papers have been published in the peer reviewed International Journal Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. These papers cast significant doubt on the current guidelines being used to diagnose miscarriage both in the UK and elsewhere in the world.

  • Study brings chlamydia vaccine hope

    A vaccine for chlamydia – the most common sexually transmitted disease – could be developed following a breakthrough by scientists.

    For decades experts have been prevented from fully understanding the bacteria as they have been unable to manipulate the genome of chlamydia trachomatis (C. trachomatis).

    Now researchers in Southampton have made a significant breakthrough in accessing the chlamydial genome and believe it could pave the way for more effective treatment of the disease.

    The 4th National Standing Conference on 23rd June ‘Management of Early Pregnancy Complications’ was again sold out and a resounding success.

  • You really can help to prevent ectopic pregnancy!

    Urgently needed: 500 people to donate £1 each or 100 people to donate £5.00 each. There are approximately 1.8 million students in the UK, in higher education. In 2010, thanks to a grant from Leeds Rag we were able to contact more than half of them, through their student welfare framework, to make sure that they knew about Chlamydia and ectopic pregnancy.

    We had only half the money needed to finish the job and now we are asking you to help us find the rest.
