The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG)

The RCOG encourages the study and advancement of the science and practice of obstetrics and gynaecology. They do this through postgraduate medical education and training development, and the publication of clinical guidelines and reports on aspects of the specialty and service provision.

Their Key objectives are to improve standards for obstetrics and gynaecology through:

  • clinical and service organisational standards
  • professional standards for doctors to be revalidated
  • best practice established through audits and research
  • setting up mechanisms to monitor implementation of standards
  • patient information on what to expect when seeking treatment

Tubal Pregnancy, Management (Green-top 21) is the RCOG’s current advice on the management of Tubal Pregnancy. Green-top 21 can be located here.
