Breakthrough research on miscarriage

Research conducted by EPT medical advisers Professor Jan Brosens and Professor Siobhan Quenby offers hope to women who suffer miscarriage.

Professor Brosens, Professor Quenby and their team have found a link between a lack of stem cells in the lining of the womb and miscarriage and it is hoped that the team can build on these findings to try to prevent miscarriages. The aims would be to improve screening of women who are at risk of recurrent miscarriage and develop treatments to improve the lining of the womb.

We welcome these initiatives to improve care for women suffering the pain of early pregnancy loss.
