Currently, an independent review of NHS maternity services in England is taking place and we at the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust have been participating in this to try to make recommendations for improvements in care provision.
As part of the review, two of the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust’s collaborating charities, Sands and Bliss along with NHS England would like to invite you to share views on maternity services, if you have experienced the following:
• the death of your baby before, during or soon after birth or
• complications affecting the health of mother or baby.
This is an opportunity to express your views on maternity services confidentially and all views will be respected. There are events at two locations in November:
Friday 6 November 2015
Session 1, 9.30 – 13.15 – for parents of babies who died before, during or soon after birth
Session 2, 14.00 – 16.30 – for parents who experienced complications in pregnancy, labour or birth affecting the health of mother or baby, including admission to neonatal care
Friday 20 November 2015
Session 1, 10.00 – 12.30 – for parents who experienced complications in pregnancy, labour or birth affecting the health of mother or baby
Session 2, 13.00 – 16.15 – for parents of babies who died before, during or soon after birth
To book your place, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, specifying which session you would like to attend (we would be grateful if you could select one to allow others the opportunity too) and whether you would like to attend in Manchester or London.
The NHS Maternity Review will also be hosting an online questionnaire for those unable to attend these events and who would still like to contribute to the Review. This survey will be made available in the first week of November and we encourage you to revisit the site for the link so that you can submit your views.
