Katie had a fantastic day yesterday in spite of a very painful knee injury and tells of her experience.
“First half I was flying but unfortunately in training I injured my knee and at mile 15 it went completely so I struggled through the last 11 miles with the help of the crowd and my amazing family and friends giving me that extra boost all the way round. I’m really happy with my time considering the circumstances.
I’m really thankful for the opportunity to run the London marathon and raise the money for the ectopic pregnancy trust. After having an ectopic pregnancy in August 2014 it is a charity very close to mine and my peers hearts. It’s been a pleasure.”
Thank you so much Katie and all our gold bond runners if you feel inspired do get in touch and we can give you details for next years marathon or if you want to sponsor any of this years runners that would be amazing.
