Urgently needed: 500 people to donate £1 each or 100 people to donate £5.00 each. There are approximately 1.8 million students in the UK, in higher education. In 2010, thanks to a grant from Leeds Rag we were able to contact more than half of them, through their student welfare framework, to make sure that they knew about Chlamydia and ectopic pregnancy.
We had only half the money needed to finish the job and now we are asking you to help us find the rest.
Chlamydia is increasingly affecting people aged between 16 and 24. There are approximately 1.8 million students in the UK, in higher education. Ectopic pregnancy is a life threatening condition, linked particularly to Chlamydia. £500 will provide essential resources to identify and make contact with the student welfare departments at the 300 Universities and Higher Education Facilities in the United Kingdom, to provide them with information about ectopic pregnancy and chlamydia and signpost them to information, education and support, both locally and nationally, whose lives are touched by the conditions.
