Sally Loving the Marathon Experience

Sally was one of our lovely team of runners in yesterdays London marathon.  Here Sally tells us of her marathon journey and how after being injured last year this year was a whole different experience.

“So here I am the morning after the marathon reflecting on my experience.
I loved it, when I ran last year I was injured and the whole experience was difficult and un enjoyable so this year I wanted to enjoy it.
I put the hours in, did the training and have to say really took in the whole atmosphere of the day and the crowds.
I got round in 4.58 and was pleased to go under 5 hours.

I was so very pleased to be able to run for the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust. The charity was so helpful when I had an ectopic pregnancy nearly 10 years ago and supported me through the subsequent fertility issues and in the end IVF.

I have been fortunate to have the support of family and friends and I know the money raised will help other people who sadly are experiencing what I did.

It was great to have support all the way through from Jill, I felt like all my efforts were really appreciated.

So I am off to work, walking slowly but with my medal on and with a smile on my face!”
