Leading parenting website Mumsnet continues its campaign to improve miscarriage care for the thousands of women who endure this heartbreak every year.
The Miscarriage Care Campaign was launched in June this year and Rt Hon Andy Burnham MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Health has pledged to include a commitment to improving miscarriage care in Labour’s 2015 Manifesto.
The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust stands alongside The Royal College of Midwives, The Miscarriage Association, Tommy’s and others in supporting this campaign and last week the EPT participated in a roundtable discussion with Andy Burnham MP (Labour shadow health secretary) and leaders from relevant organisations to discuss the types of changes needed to improve care for the one in seven pregnancies that end in miscarriage. These include supportive staff, access to scanning, appropriate treatment spaces, good information and effective treatment and joined-up care.
The Mumsnet website contains detailed information about these five key points and this important campaign and ways in which you can help spread the word.
