Many thanks for your opinions on new NICE treatment guidelines for pain and bleeding in early pregnancy

The National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) are setting new guidelines for the treatment of women with Pain and Bleeding in Early Pregnancy. In particular this relates to the diagnosis and subsequent treatment of miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy. Once this document is published, it will become standard practice within the NHS and beyond. The EPT was asked to comment on the draft document from NICE.

We are grateful to everyone who submitted their comments and opinions on this draft guideline so that your voices are heard. We have left the consultation document on the site – and although the deadline for our response to NICE  was the week of the 14th August we would still welcome any feedback in case there is an opportunity to feedback to NICE at a later stage. You can do this by answering four questions in our quick online survey.

  1. First read the Consultation Document
  2. Then answer four questions using this simple survey

The deadline for feeding back comments has now passed – but we will keep any new comments in case further feedback to NICE is invited.
