The Trust is working towards raising awareness and improving the standard of care currently provided to women who suffer from Ectopic Pregnancies. With limited resources available we rely a great deal on volunteers providing vital time and energy to help us promote the Trust and our aims. If you, or someone close to you has suffered from an ectopic you may not feel ready to get involved just yet. Or you may feel that you want to do something but don't want to have to talk about your own experiences. If your ectopic was some time ago and you have moved on you may be ready to help others more directly by volunteering to staff our helpline or be trained as a counsellor. Whatever you can do to help it will be most appreciated. You could. ..
Become a 'buddy' e-mail or telephone contact
Currently our ability to respond to women who are suffering from ectopic's is limited by the number of people we have available and we're not always able to respond as quickly as we would like. Full training is provided. To find out more about being a buddy contact us
Help with the production of the quarterly newsletter
Do you have editorial skills or a back ground in journalism? You might be just the person we are looking for to help us keep our biannual publication ‘Topic’ full of interesting articles. If you'd like to help out with this contact us, telling us how you think you can help.
Help out with administration in the office
Our office is based in South East London, at King's College Hospital, Denmark Hill, SE5..
Use your computer skills
If you have skills that you could offer please contact us.In recent years we have had people design parts of the website, create e-greeting cards for us and design logo's and promotional materials as well as create documents and write policy. You may have just what we are looking for so if you think you might be able to offer something, drop us a line
Marketing/PR and promoting awareness
Would you be prepared to represent women who have had an ectopic pregnancy, on local committees, PR interviews, TV appearances etc? Newspapers and magazines in particular are always looking for someone to interview and share an experience and sometimes TV programme and documentary makers too. Get in touch if you think this is of interest to you.
You may have other skills or have contacts which would be useful to the Trust - if you feel that you would like to offer your skills or time please download, compete and return our volunteers form. If for any reason you cannot print this out please call us and we'll post a copy.
