Below are some great images from our BLAW 2017 campaign where we united to remember babies lost through ectopic pregnancy. We thank each and every one of you who shared your experiences, wore your pin badges and joined us in a very moving and powerful Wave of Light on Sunday night.
During the week we were privileged to attend a reception and remembrance service at the Houses of Parliament alongside other baby loss charities and MPs, representing all of us affected by ectopic pregnancy.
We also attended the pilot launch of a National Bereavement Care Pathway which has 11 sites working to trial and test over the coming months. Joined by Will Quince MP and Antoinette Sandback MP, we heard about excellent levels of bereavement care and how many healthcare professionals do an absolutely phenomenal job supporting families. We believe that this gold standard should extend to ALL bereaved parents who should be offered the same high standard of care and for it to be patient-led and individualised. Working in collaboration with healthcare professionals, we hope that the National Bereavement Care Pathway will go towards achieving this.
Through the week there was some fantastic fundraising and raising of awareness by a number of people highlighting ectopics at work through raffles, cake sales, putting up posters and taking part in running and walking events. We also had our supporters attend some of the light up landmarks across the country. We hope you gained support and comfort from the week and never forget we are always here for you at the EPT whenever you need us.
