Will 2018 be your EPT1000 Challenge Year
The EPT1000 is a fun and flexible way to raise awareness about ectopic pregnancy while improving your well-being. Cover a distance of 1,000 miles or 1,000km over 12 months in whatever way suits – running, walking, cycling, swimming or a combination – it’s up to you! We had around 100 people sign up in the first year. As well as creating fantastic friendship among our fundraisers, each one has been inspirational on their journey posting photos, updates, and blogs along the way. It generates a massive confidence boost and helps create a focus for their path towards recovery.
Here are a few testimonials:
“I’ve only gone and done it, a 1000 miles for the baby I lost and my life I came so close to loosing. Its been a great experience, loved having the time to process it all. My ruptured ectopic pregnancy was in December 2011 and I didn’t really deal with it so this year has been a great healing process, I’ll never be truly healed but am in a better place than I was 7 years ago. Thanks #EctopicPregnancyTrust for always being there and for raising awareness. ❤” Kat
“I can’t believe its come to an end! I’m super sad and happy at the same time…I feel like starting this challenge was the catalyst for so much this year so it’s hard to say goodbye to it. I’m so grateful to have crossed paths with all you ladies and on those days when I couldn’t be bothered to get out I just had to log in here and it would motivate me again. So here’s to 2018 and the next challenge….London Marathon here I come!” Kerri
“I have enjoyed doing this challenge and sad to see it come to an end now I have got my stride again
In honour of getting to the end I got my hair dyed again purple and this time I wore my t-shirt.
Well done to everyone who has completed their miles and good luck to those who are about to start it for 2018.” Janet
“My 1000 miles of running was completed 20th December with my lovely running club. Just wanted to thank the EPT for getting me back running again, helping me to find myself again and making 2017 the best year (for being truly me) I have had in several years. I won a couple of races, ran my first ever ultra marathon (38 miles) and mostly just thankful to share my story and awareness! Thank you EPT ❤❤” Jess
“I’ve done it, today I did my last walk in honour of Leo. I just want to thank every single one of you ladies as if it wasn’t for some of you I wouldn’t be where I am today. This challenge came at just the right time for me and has help me to talk openly about my ectopic. So thank you. I’m Little emotional that it has came to an end but also very proud of myself. I have raised a grand total of £6175.00 for the trust which I actually never thought would be possible.” Emma
