That sounds like an horrendous ordeal that you have been through. An ultrasound should confirm if you have one or both ovaries. And you can ask for a hysterosalpingogram (hsg) to check for blockage in your tube. A catheter is inserted into your womb and a dye injected under X-ray which will show up ...

Hi Virgo, Firstly, my sincere condolences on your loss. It is one of the most devastating experiences you can have. This year, on February 20th I had a left tube ectopic pregnancy confirmed. Two days later I had mtx treatment which failed and on March 3rd I had a left salpingectomy via laparoscopy. ...

Hey,
Our EP was diagnosed on 20/02/17 and I had my tube removed on 03/03/17. There was no obvious reason for the pregnancy to be ectopic. It was a fimbrial ectopic, down at the open end of the tube next to the ovary so probably just bad luck!
Best of luck with the campaign.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, it's a really devastating experience to go through. We had been ttc for 2 years when we found out we were pregnant, and a niggling feeling that it was ectopic a week later sent us to the hospital. The ectopic was confirmed by a scan - despite no symptoms. I had mtx...

Hi brokenheart91, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. it's just on 3 months for me too, it was 12 weeks last Wednesday since the methotrexate and it's 11 weeks today since I had my tube & my baby removed. I know what you mean about no one wanting to hear about it. I'm lucky in that I had been see...

Hi blinc, I'm sorry to hear of your losses - I've also had a miscarriage and an ectopic so I understand what you're going through, though I had methotrexate and then surgery so slightly different circumstances. This was all 9 weeks ago, so still quite recent. I'm dealing with the emotional side by s...

Mine arrived 8 weeks 1 day after my operation, and was really overwhelming. I was so emotional and so tired. Far more than ever before. Probably as this was my first period since December (I got pregnant in January). Hoping for a short cycle this time and then we can start trying again. Good luck ev...

Hi there, I'm so sorry for what you ate going through. You sound exactly as I did when I found out my pregnancy was ectopic. The best piece of advice I can give you is give yourself time. Don't rush anything. I did, and I'm paying for it now. Talk about it to people, use the helpline from the ept an...

I recently had an ectopic pregnancy, first treated with methotrexate as I have fertility problems and did not want to lose my tube. From the ultrasound scans it was unclear where exactly the pregnancy was, but somehow I knew it wasn't in the tube. I was in a lot of pain 10 days after the injection s...

I had the same a few weeks after my left salpingectomy, pains as if there was something there... I don't know what it was, but I still get stabbing pains on that side.
As for period, I'm 7 weeks post surgery tomorrow and no period as yet. Apparently between 6 and 10 weeks post surgery is usual.

Yes I understand that.. it's easy to get obsessed with them. I take my temp Every day too, and there is a marked drop and spike around ovulation.

I got about 50 for £6 including postage on eBay. I only use them in conjunction with the basal body temperature chart. Because my periods are so irregular it is the only way that I can have any idea when to expect one.

I had surgery on 3/03 and have been tracking my bbt since in an effort to gauge when my period might start again. I always had extremely irregular periods (sometimes 2 in s month, sometimes 2 a year), but I'm glad to see I've just ovulated (confirmed with ovulation tests) so hopeful my period will c...

In the end the histology only looked at my tube and didn't look at the baby at all. I got a call from the mortuary and he asked if I wanted the box from sands or if I had my own. I hadn't even thought that far tbh so I said yes to the sands box. I don't know how I thought I'd get him back... I guess...

I ended up opening the box several times before burying it. We had both felt he was a boy so we named him. I needed to be able to say I held my baby. We buried him last Sunday, on mothers day. It was the only thing I could do for him on that day. The hardest thing I've ever watched was my partner di...

Thank you Princess Bebe6. It was a very hard thing to do - and in the long run I'm not sure if it was the right decision. Its strange, women I've spoken to would all have opened the box too, whereas the men, including my other half, couldn't bring themselves to. Given the choice, they wouldn't want ...

You've just articulated what I feel all the time since my ep. I don't have any other children, and being told things like "well you can try again" and "at least you know you can get pregnant" by well meaning but ill informed people is of no comfort. Today was awful. It was a kick...
