Re: Advice & experiences after Methotrexate treatnent

Hiya, I know what you mean, it feels more real when it's someone replying to your actual messages if that makes sense. Mine was actually in july and I was discharged 30th august so I've technically waited long enough. After I was discharged we decided to go to the Caribbean for our 1 year wedding an...

Re: Advice & experiences after Methotrexate treatnent

Hi there,

Just sending some support. I was treated with methotrexate and now we're thinking of trying again and I'm having exactly the same worries. Sorry I can't be of much help but wanted you to know you're not alone.

Re: How old were you when you had your ectopic?

27, I had only been off cerazette for a week or so. I'm told that's not officially a risk factor but I'm unconvinced.

Re: HG and ectopic

I have emetophobia (fear of sick) so nausea is traumatic for me. I felt very Ill on methotrexate but thankfully the worst was over in a few days. The rest was just on and off pain and severe fatigue. Go easy on yourself and let yourself feel however you need to emotionally. Punishing yourself for fe...

Was that to me? If so, yes, I was down to 2 in 4-5 weeks. I feel very lucky that it didnt take me longer but I'm just grateful it's over.

I would think when you've hit 0 as before that your body wont have processed what happened.

Re: Intense cramps 3 days after surgery

I got rescanned when I got pains. It was really reassuring. I would definitely recommend going to the early pregnancy unit, just for peace of mind.

Re: Anxiety and depression after ectopic

I suffer with anxiety and depression. Please please please dont cancel. Not therapy got me through the first horrible parts and then I slowly started exercising and eating better. All these things help massively. I know you wont feel like doing those things yet but even if you step out your front do...

Re: Pain when bladder empties

I just mentioned it to my nurse again at my weekly methotrexate blood test. She didnt seem concerned at all, just asked if there was any burning or stinging and when I said no she sort of just shrugged.

Re: Pain when bladder empties

Hiya I get this (currently being treated with methotrexate). I'd describe it as a really uncomfortable pressure. I meanted to the nurse at my weekly blood test and she didnt seem concerned, but i would get interested to know what causes it. Sorry I'm not much help, just wanted you to know you're not...

Re: Expectant management query

I'm not a dr but your levels are pretty low and declining. Are you usually a UK resident? Are you able to ring your usual GP or even 111? I would strongly recommend speaking to a dr in your home country on the phone. If you had surgery I cant imagine you'd even be allowed to fly that soon after surg...

Re: Methotrexate

I had my injection on 21st and apart from exhaustion, which had been on going, my bleeding and pain has only just started. I went to EPU with severe(ish) pain. Turns out I had a blood clot that got shifted by an internal scan and the pain went off. Take cocodomol if paracetamol isnt working, but not...

Re: Injection

Mine worked with one injection on levels of around that. Or at least it is working currently. Wont be back down to 0 for another month approximately. They could see the yolk sac in my first scan but not in any scans after that. I asked to be told everything that they could see in the scan and they s...

Re: Injection or Surgery?

Hi, I opted for the injection. Luckily mine is working so far. The side effects are kicking my butt, nausea, fatigue, and now my levels are coming down bleeding and period pain (my periods while not on birth control have always been horrendous). However it's definitely management if unpleasant. I ca...
