Re: Returning periods

Hello Viain,
My first period arrived 10.5 weeks after the op. It was a bit disconcerting but now everything is back to normal.. my body just needed that extra bit of time to process what had happened!
Take it steady, healing hugs, Cx

Re: A bit of a strange question how long did you want to have sex

Hi Beth We wanted to wait until I'd had my first period ...it didn't show up until 10.5 weeks after surgery so we ended up being 11 weeks post op to have sex again. I was terrified of doing myself a mischief by having sex too early and not being healed inside. My outside scars were healing nicely bu...

Re: 1 year anniversary

You're definitely not alone my love... My operation was exactly a year ago too and it sucks. I've found my way to partially cope is by writing poems of how I feel. For some reason they come more easily to me and I can verbalise how I'm feeling more than if I were to try to tell someone outright. I'v...

Mine didn't show til 10.5 weeks after my surgery. Quite disconcerting but my body just needed that time to recover and settle back to a normal rhythm. Xx

Re: First period after ectopic surgery

Hi Charlie, my first period after surgery didn't arrive until 10.5 weeks. It was quite disconcerting but now I'm pretty much back to how I was before the operation. Hope this helps to ease your mind a bit. 🙂 Cx

Re: Jealousy

Thankyou so much for your replies and kind words of solidarity... It has helped me to know I'm not the only one who thinks in that way... The thing is, I'm fine most days, but remembering back to this time last year makes me sad. I try not to dwell but in the next breath I'm Overthinking it all agai...

Jealousy

This time last year I was pregnant. I didn't know it yet, but little bean was there. Every pregnancy announcement recently has me feeling so bitter and jealous. Famous people, friends of friends, random people... I'm 37 and am coming to the realisation that perhaps motherhood isn't meant for me, tha...

Re: Period returning?

Hello Archie86, I had surgery in November 2019 to remove my right tube. My body took ages to get up and running again. My first period wasn't until 10.5 weeks after the operation. I had been regular before the surgery, more often than not my period showed every four weeks to the day. The past few mo...

Re: When did u have period after ectopic pregnancy

Hi there, I had the same worries after my surgery. I bled for a week after the laparoscopy and my first period showed up 10.5 weeks after the operation. It was a bit disconcerting as my periods had more often than not been every four weeks. I'm now back on track it would seem although they're a bit ...

Re: Maybe this will help...

Thankyou so much for your kind words... Writing it down helped me process the swirling nonsensical thoughts that were constantly in my head. I shared it in the hope it might help others so I am so pleased you found it and that it might help you heal too. For the most part I'm OK now, but I definitel...

Re: My eptopic pregnancy..

Hi Emma, I'm 37 this year and am also feeling the clock ticking... My surgery was in November last year and we've just recently started trying again. I've read a few positive stories on here so there's definitely hope for us.. I think it just takes everyone different timescales to recover and to fal...
