Pregnancy test after surgery

Hi. As you may know from so other posts I'm 12 days post surgery following a second ectopic after a dose of MTX the week prior failed to make any difference. My tube was removed and I had some bleeding for 3-4 days after surgery but thats been it. I am keen to explore IVF later this year and so want...

Re: 2nd ectopic pregnancy. Trying methotrexate to try and save right tube.

Hi Hope So so sorry to hear what you are going through. Its very early days by the sounds of it. I know the wait is horrendous. My EPU were great and did scan me in the early days and kept doing it until my hormones reached 1700 and then 3600 when they finally found the ectopic. Until your levels ar...

Re: 2nd ectopic pregnancy. Trying methotrexate to try and save right tube.

Hi Ally. Sorry for the delay in replying. I've been taking time to recover from surgery at home and start the emotional recovery process. I've started counselling too and have begun making enquiries about IVF to give myself some focus. How have you been? I hope your hormones continued to drop and yo...

Re: 24hours post op

Hi Danielle I'm also just over 24 hours post surgery and still have really sore shoulders and back. The nurse in the hospital told me it was the impact of the gas used during the surgery and may last a few days. I really feel for you - it's such a loss. This is my second ectopic in 10 months and if ...

Re: 2nd ectopic pregnancy. Trying methotrexate to try and save right tube.

Hi Ally Its good to hear you got some kind of drop in levels even though it wasn't the full 15%. I've heard that a second dose of methotrexate often works for people so if your doctors are suggesting it I'm sure they think there's a chance. You really are in my thoughts - I hope it works out for you...

Re: 2nd ectopic pregnancy. Trying methotrexate to try and save right tube.

I'm really sorry that you are going through this. I'm in a similar situation. I'm waiting on my day 7 results following a methotrexate injection on Monday. This is my second ectopic and it's in my last remaining tube - my first was 10 months ago. I've had no bleeding since the injection. My hormones...

Re: 2 ectopics in lockdown

Thanks Michele It is a lot to process and still being in it while waiting to see if the methotrexate works is extremely hard. Its warming to know that you went on to have babies after two ectopics as I am still wishing that for my future. I find myself flip flopping between being in the very present...

2 ectopics in lockdown

Hi guys I'm just sending this message to feel less alone. In the last weekend of March 2020 I suffered a corneal ectopic which required emergency surgery and four days in hospital to deal with a massive internal bleed Fast forward to the first week of January and I got a BFP on my pregnancy test. I ...

Re: Bleeding after surgery

Thanks so much for this response. I am continuing to rest and will go back to the early pregnancy unit tomorrow for blood tests to continue to monitor my hormone levels. It’s a lot to come to terms with but I’ve had amazing support and I’m sure I’ll get there

Bleeding after surgery

Hi. I am just back home after suffering a non-tubular ectopic on Sunday morning. I had severe stomach pain, shoulder pain and fainting due to blood pressure but no vaginal bleeding. I required emergency surgery due to severe internal bleeding. My fertilized egg had travelled through my left Fallopia...
