Re: Partner Won't Try Again

Yes. I can imagine how difficult it is for you. I think that sometimes men prefer to deal with their own emotions and traumatic events on their own without talking too much. My husband seems to very open and easy-going but he doesn't talk a lot about things that are really painful and sometimes stop...

Re: Partner Won't Try Again

Hi. I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I understand your desire to start TTC asap and frustration about your partner's decision. In my relationship I'm a person postponing TTC after ectopic and I thought that I may give you some picture of the other side. I had an ectopic over 1.5 years ago. Me and ...

Re: Due my doctors app this week and need help

Hi. I don't know your specific medical situation so I cannot comment on it so please contact your GP if you're unsure. In my case, I didn't have hcg checked after surgery and they didn't offer me any post surgery appointment or check out. However, I was advised to contact a hospital or GP if somethi...

Re: Did I kill my baby by monitoring hcg too early?

I'm really sorry that your hcg levels are still rising. It may take a while for treatment to start working. I hope your hcg will start dropping soon.

Re: Did I kill my baby by monitoring hcg too early?

I understand your feelings. It was probably easier for me since I had surgery and pregnancy was found on ultrasound so there was physical evidence that it wasn't viable. I'm not a doctor but I have biomedical background. I can tell you that serial hcg measurements are very accurate in distinguishing...

Re: Did I kill my baby by monitoring hcg too early?

Dear Sarah. I'm really sorry for your loss. Ectopic pregnancy is terrible experience and I understand your concerns and doubts about your treatment. I'm not medically trained but looks like your doctors were confident that your pregnancy was likely ectopic based on hcg levels. Otherwise they wouldn'...

Re: Coping at night

Hi. I'm really sorry for your loss and that you're still struggling with emotional consequences of ectopic pregnancy. It's normal that after trauma we tend to process traumatic memories over and over in our heads. I believe this is necessary to understand and accept what has happened to us. However,...

Re: Pulling at the remaining Tube

Hi. I'm sorry you had to go through such a terrible thing as ectopic. I had my ectopic around 1.5 years ago and it was removed with my right tube. Over next months after surgery I had a lot of random pains on the side of my ectopic and in the opposite tube. To he honest I still have them especially ...

Re: Ivf turned into ectopic pregnancy

Hi Hols. I was monitored for pregnancy of unknown location which turned out to be ectopic a while ago. My hcg levels were very low but they were able to find pregnancy in my tube with hcg around 220 (however that was 4th scan I had over 2 weeks).

Re: Ectopic pregnancy surgery

Hi. I'm sorry you had to go through such a terrible experience as an ectopic pregnancy. Your story seems to be very similar to mine and I completely understand your feelings. My first pregnancy was also ectopic and was removed together with my right tube. The pregnancy was planned but I also realise...

Re: Helpless

Hi Charlyg. I'm sorry to hear that you're going through ectopic. I had my ectopic over 1.5 yrs ago and it was also managed by surgery. I received amazing care from NHS during my ectopic, however lack of follow ups after surgery was a bit hard as I wasn't sure what's normal during recovery. I didn't ...

Re: Periods after ectopic - pain in remaining tube

Hi, I'm over one year after right tube removal and I still have some occassional pains on that sight during ovulation, periods or after intensive training. It was more frequent within few months after surgery. I guess that this is due to adhesions or scar tissue that formed during the healing proces...

Re: Will things ever go back to normal?

Hi Combr! I'm sorry for your pregnancy loss. Everyone is different so I don't think it's possible to define what is normal or not in terms of what you feel or what are your future pregnancy plans. Some people are eager to start trying for a baby as soon as possible after ectopic and others prefer to...

Re: Ruptured Ectopic- emergency surgery

I completely understand you. My experience was a bit different. My pregnancy was planned and I was being monitored due to light spotting for two weeks before ectopic was finally confirmed and treated by surgery. However, as I didn't have any red flag symptoms and ectopic seemed to be unlikely, I fee...
