Thanks for your responses. My GP was brilliant and examined me. She said everything looks healthy but is referring me for an internal scan just for peace of mind. She said it could be a few reasons - - after surgery (I’ve also had 2 c sections) scar tissue can cause discomfort. - ovary maybe slightl...

Hi all, It’s now just over a year since I had my left Fallopian tube removed. I’ve noticed the last 2 cycles that I’m having pain on that side around ovulation and a bit of brown and rust coloured blood in my fertile discharge (a tiny amount). I’ve looked on the NHS website and it says if you ovulat...

I had an ectopic pregnancy in Nov/Dec. I had 2 failed injections of methotrexate and then surgery. After each I had an injection of anti d. I've also got 2 children and had anti d with both pregnancies although I didn't need it once I'd delivered as both my children are also O-

It took me 6 weeks to physically recover from surgery. The side incisions healed after a couple of weeks but my belly button took ages. I kept getting twinges and felt sore internally and then I would get tired very easily. Take it easy and rest as much as you can.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I went to EPU after bleeding heavily for 3 days and then getting a positive pregnancy test. They saw the tissue in my left fallopian tube but my HCG was only 44 so they sent me home. 48 hours later HCG had risen so I was given my first dose of methotrexate, da...

I'm sorry you're going through this. I'm now almost 7 weeks post surgery and if I'm honest it's only the last week that I've felt right again. When I was discharged from hospital I was only given a weeks sick note and had to speak to my GP to extend this. I feel like key hole surgery is really minim...

Hi all, I'm not sure if anyone can help but thought it was worth asking. I was given 2 doses of methotrexate at the end of Nov/beginning of December. I was told this would suppress my immune system and to be very careful re COVID. I work at a school so the doctor said I needed to stay off work and b...

Hi, I had an ectopic with twins that was successfully treated with methotrexate. I fell pregnant again approx 6 months after and ovulated from that same side. I had a healthy pregnancy and my son is now almost 5! Good luck!

Hi, my HCG levels rose after they fallen. However, my levels were around the 100 mark. Is it worth waiting another week and taking another test? I know HCG can take a while to get out of your system and the home pregnancy tests can be very sensitive. Xx

Sorry I should have added - the hospital will give you a sick note. Methotrexate suppresses your immune system so be extra careful with COVID restrictions. My husband did all our shopping etc and u stayed at home and only left to go to hospital appointments. Xx

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I have had 2 ectopic pregnancy's. The first was treated successfully with methotrexate. Then at the end of Nov I was told I was having another ectopic. My levels were 51 so I was given methotrexate but my levels doubled by day 7. I then had a second dose and l...

Thank you. I've been using the antibiotic cream the last few days as a precaution. It seems to be healing just taking its time!! I'm making sure I rinse it under the shower every morning and using a hair dryer to ensure it's completely dry before applying the cream. I just want it to heal so I'm not...

Thanks Karen. My GP has given me some antibiotic cream to use on my belly button as a precaution. She said it won't do any harm if there isn't an infection and it can premote healing. So far period seems to be normal flow wise but a bit more painful than usual. I guess that's to be expected. Thank y...

Thanks for your replies. I think the belly button is so hard to keep clean and dry because of where the incision is. You obviously sweat etc and it's hard to get air right to the back. I'm 3 weeks post surgery today so maybe I am being a little impatient. My period also started yesterday and the cra...

Merry Christmas everyone! I'm now 19 days post surgery, the 2 incision at my sides are healing really well and pretty much just scabs now. However, my belly button seems to be taking a lot longer. I can't actually see the incision at the back of my belly button, my husbands been checking it and said...

I think anger is a normal part of processing trauma and grieving. Have you spoken to your GP? It might be worth asking about counselling available or contacting one of the other charities mentioned on here.
I'm so sorry you're going through this. Xx

Do you mean there's discharge coming from the wounds? If so there may be an infection and I'd urge you to contact your GP. I was told its normal to have some abdominal pain as you heal and have had sone discomfort.
