Hi. I was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy on the 9th of December and was management by expectant management. My hCG levels dropped by early January and I have had a negative home pregnancy test and a period since then. I still have twinges of pain on the side of my ectopic. Nothing major. It's n...

Hi, just wanted to say that I am feeling very similar to you. I found out on the 9th of December that I had an ectopic pregnancy. Mine ended 'naturally' with expectant management and we are intending to try again but it is scary knowing that if/when it happens again instead of being happy it will be...

Hi, thanks for replying Cs1. The bleed i just had lasted exactly as long as my period normally would: 5 days so still not sure whether it was a period or a hCG drop bleed. Whatever it was it can only be a good thing and a step in the right direction of getting back to a normal cycle. I'm tracking BB...

Thank you for sharing your story. I'm sorry for everything you have been through and the missed diagnoses. I'm glad that you are recovering now. Sending you love and best wishes from the UK (from your terminology i guess you are in the US?)

Hi, on the 9th of December I was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy. I had gone to the hospital due to bleeding which started at 5 weeks pregnant. It wasn't particularly heavy and there weren't lots of clots or tissue so the doctor was surprised it was ectopic as I had no other symptoms. My hCG lev...

Ho Dot2Dot I believe it is normal to have bleeding and some people get cramps. I didn't have surgery but was told by the hospital that if I was bleeding heavily (and heavily was soaking a sanitary towel in an hour) then I should contact them but other than that I should just expect 'some bleeding '....

I am going through expectant management and it is a long game and in the beginning my anxiety levels were high. I started with light spotting at 5 weeks which was heavier bleeding by 6 weeks but no pain above a slight ache on my left side. On the 9th of December a scan showed a pregnancy on my ovary...

Hi Nicki, I was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy 9th of December. Also on my ovary. I am still dealing with it as my 'pregnancy' is being managed expectantly and although my last hCG results on 27th of December were quite low they were not at zero yet. I was back at work Monday after having 3 wee...

Hi Stephy. I'm sorry I did not reply sooner and hope today has been a better day for you. I have been ok at work. People have been nice at work. I felt like I needed to tell those that didn't know why I had not been in for 3 weeks as I work in the kind of place where there would be gossip (although ...

I started with bleeding at 5 weeks which was just spotting for 2 days then stopped then started with heavier bleeding a day later. I didn't pass any tissue or clots. No pain just an uncomfortable ache in my left side. I had a scan and they confirmed ectopic pregnancy at 6 weeks. My hCG level started...

I know that if I was talking to you or anyone else, I'd be saying take the time you need to grieve - you've been through (and are still going through) a lot and need to look after yourself. Exactly..treat yourself how you would treat someone else. Would you be kind and supportive. Tell them to take...

Hi Stephy..me again! I just came on because I felt like I was having a bad day too.. anyway, a few years ago I had some time off work with anxiety and depression and just before that someone said something to me that I think could apply here. I was down and struggling and my area manager/coach perso...

I cannot advise on methotrexate, I'm afraid, as I am being managed expectantly but you can get a sick note from the hospital. If you ask when you next go to the hospital for bloods taking then they will provide you with one, especially if you explain what your job entails. Sending love x

Hi Kelly I sounds to me like your consultant is trying to make sure you are not having a heterotopic pregnancy and giving you methotrexate when surgery would be better. I don't want to get your hopes up but if it turns out that you have viable uterine pregnancy then they will do surgery to remove th...

I'm glad that you have found something to help take your mind off of things. I've just been veging out on the sofa watching TV. I did get some couple of new books for Christmas so I may ho have a nice bath soon and read a book. I also ordered a basal temperature thermometer (BTT) off of [online stor...
