Thanks for your reply. Yes I was informed in the hospital to use contraception until I have my first period but to be honest we have decided to wait until I have a period before having sex. It's been 14 weeks now so I'm waiting to hear back from my GP to see if this is normal.

My wounds took around 6 weeks to completely heal, I cleaned the wounds with salt water to prevent any infection. Maybe just me but I found the belly button incision got a bit smelly! My stitches took 6 weeks to dissolve x
