Re: Will this get easier?

Hi I'm sorry to hear about your experience, going through it alone must have been so hard. I had felt a bit better finally around 7-8 months after my ectopic but then I got pretty sad again around my due date and I also felt quite annoyed and angry! Definitely it came in waves as most of the time I ...

Re: Starting with low hCG levels

I did not have this personally but have seen others online who had low hCG levels. Some had methotrexate and some had expectant management. The most important thing seemed to be continuing to monitoring hCG, and being aware of symptoms. I wish you good luck and a positive outcome!

Re: My work wants me back before my two weeks are up

Your work sounds crap I'm sorry! I hope you can get a letter from your doctor which they can't argue with. I am not sure what country you are in but assuming UK, they shouldn't be able to force you to come back if you have a note and shouldn't be able to fire you based on this either?! I also strugg...

I really hope the second injection is working for you - and I'm glad you got a referral to a fertility clinic.

Re: Tests After Ectopic

Hi Maria I was keen to try and investigate/rule out endometriosis (to the extent I could without a laparoscopy), chlamydia antibodies, hormonal issues and tubal patency/blockage. In the end the only actual "additional" tests I had was an ultrasound and some blood tests, I got the answers (...

Re: 2nd Ectopic - is there hope for a healthy pregnancy?

Hello I believe although the chance of another ectopic is quite high after two, statistically more women than not have an intrauterine pregnancy if they get pregnant again after two ectopics. But I cannot speak to your specific situation unfortunately. Recurrence probably also depends on the specifi...

Re: Tests After Ectopic

Sorry to hear about your endo but I hope it is giving you a more clear path forward now. I totally agree with what you say and I think it is an important message for the forums - you really have to advocate for yourself in asking for medical tests etc. as a long of times doctors won't do certain thi...

Re: Has anyone conceived via their ectopic tube?

Hi Laura I did ovulate the side of my ectopic with my current uterine pregnancy. No guarantee it went down the ectopic tube rather than the other tube (for my ectopic, I actually ovulated from the other side to the tube it ended up in - I don't think the tube and ovary always match!). But, I was rea...

Re: Methotrexate Recovery

Hi there Sorry to hear about your second ectopic. My days 1-4 (ish) bloods showed a pretty big drop, and day 7 did also, but then it was slower from there. I only had a single dose. I think I read in a study the average is just over a month, maybe 38 days or something? I recall it taking around 4.5 ...

Re: Methotrexate - no symptoms

Hi How did you end up going? I hope you had a good outcome. I didn't really have methotrexate symptoms either, and it was successful for me. I had slight fatigue (or maybe that was just because I'd been expected fatigue, or because I was emotionally exhausted!) but not much else. Didn't get any naus...

Re: Please help! Breakdown / 3 months post op

Hi Yasmin As it has been a while, hope you are feeling better now. You can take as many pregnancy tests as you want to feel better. It's common with women after ectopics I think, especially as many bled at the start of their ectopic (so can't trust a period meaning you're not pregnant) or had wonky ...

Re: Pregnancy resentment

Sorry to hear that Crystal, it is really hard and take the time you need but it is your sister - I don't know the nature of your relationship, but hopefully it is one in which you can be honest about how you are feeling? Your sister is very young though and to be honest when I was 18 (and even when ...

Re: Pain on ectopic side

Hi Preyi I had a fair bit of pain after MTX - and it was worst maybe 3 weeks out which freaked me out, but it seems to have been okay as I got down to non-pregnancy hCG and didn't bleed to death...it's so hard to say unfortunately. I remember being like you and trying to figure out what pain could b...

Re: Ovulation pain after tube removal

Hi I had MTX rather than surgery but I too have had ovulation pain almost every month since (except I think the first). In my case it is 24-48 hours of discomfort on one side, not sharp pain but it can be irritating. It feels similar to an ovarian cyst or the corpus luteum which I felt during my ect...

Re: Confused and struggling

Hi everyone I'm totally in a similar headspace to you all - took a while to get pregnant, then ectopic, now several months out too scared to try again. I'm 33 which I know isn't as old as some but still feeling anxious about time running out especially as I started trying at 31 so I can see how rapi...

Re: Pain where tube was when I have my period

Hi, didn't have my tube removed but am a few months out and still get occasional mild pain both on my ectopic side and the other side (but not usually pain on both sides at once) this seems to be sometimes related to walking/sport, sometimes ovulation or period etc. I don't think it's unusual based ...

Re: I'd love advice to prepare myself

Hi It's been a couple of days so hope your situation is going well since you posted. Pregnancy of unknown location could be in the uterus but it is too early (5w is early although with hCG 2700 as you will know normally something could be seen) or could be outside the uterus. I have heard of there b...
