Thank you both for your replies. _SBKM - we were very close together then as my op was the 20th August. I’ve also had a scan which has returned ‘nothing wrong’. It’s really weird isn’t it. I’m sort of starting to see a connection with diet, it seems to have got worse with all the bad food and drink ...

Hi all, It’s been a while since I posted. I’m now 15 weeks post op (laparotomy) and wondered if anyone could help me by giving me some advise or a similar experience. My ectopic was in my left tube which was removed at the time of surgery, but ever since surgery I have had more pain in the right tha...

I had surgery to remove my pregnancy just over 8 weeks ago. I’m still not there physically but emotionally I don’t think I’ve even started to deal with it. I was holding out for counselling. I have ptsd from previous things that happened in my life and have ‘learnt’ to suppress and ‘turn down’ my fe...

Hi
I had surgery 7.5 weeks ago and my pain has always been on the opposite side since I came out of surgery. I don’t have any answers for why I’m afraid but just thought it might help to know you’re not alone. Xx

Hi
I’m so sorry to hear of your loss.
Just wanted to pop an answer on to say your GP should be able to refer you to NHS funded counselling and also you can try Googling IAPT services in your area as you can usually self refer to them without seeing your GP first.

Hey everyone, I’m so sorry, during my post op recovery I didn’t come on here as much as I was really tired all the time and constantly asleep. Then week 4 post op we moved house and it’s been manic since then especially with me still being laid up. I hope you’re all doing ok! I just wanted to add ab...

Hi all, It’s been a while since I’ve posted here. I’m just over 5 weeks post surgery. I had the c section type cut. It has healed really well in terms of my wound and by just over 4 weeks I was generally feeling like I was getting better. I was able to manage a 20 minute walk and go upstairs without...

Thank you Sarah I’m really sorry to hear you lost your tube too :( I think my main thing has been knowing what I can and can’t do as I start to feel better. I’m getting quite restless even a week post op! The wound is painful, my husband made me laugh this morning and my god it was awful but I could...

Hi I was wondering if anyone had any links to information to support after open surgery (not laparoscopic). I had open surgery on Friday to remove my ectopic as well as my left tube. The hospital didn’t give me anything to go home with that would advice me beyond the genetic ‘rest for 6 weeks’ and d...

Hi! So glad your levels are decreasing will be keeping you in my thoughts to get to 0! My surgery was a bit of a weird one, I went in with pain and they were certain it hadn’t ruptured but because of the amount of pain combined with the hcg levels decreasing they decided to operate, they then discov...

Thank you, I’m really struggling to find much detail about recovering from open laparotomy surgery as most information about surgery seems to be aimed at laparoscopy. The hospital gave me next to no information when I left so I’m mostly relying on bits I can find on the internet about the recovery.

Hi all I’ve had a bit of a rollercoaster of a few days. I wasn’t happy with the rates my levels were dropping after my second dose of methotrexate and the amount of pain I was having. So I called the hospital on Friday and it was decided I should have a laparoscopy. However, when I got down to theat...

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could advise what their levels were after treatment with methotrexate please? I know every single one of us is going to have a different experience but it would be comforting for me right now to see how other people’s levels dropped as mine are going so slowly it is...

Hi both thank you so much for replying it’s been a [heck] of a week and I only just got chance to reply myself. I went on Monday fully geared up to insist on an op and ended up getting shut in a room for hours waiting to see a doctor after the first doctor said he knew nothing about my case. In the ...

Thank you Kayleigh I’m sorry you’re going through it too but glad it’s working after your first one. I’m still feeling rough but the pain is better today than it had been. Bloods have now dropped today to 1612 they were 3888 2 weeks ago when I had my first injection so that’s a good drop I think. Ju...

Hi This is about my 4th post in the forum as I’ve gone through and continue to go through my ectopic pregnancy in my left tube. I have now been under the EPU for 5 weeks and I am not getting better. Quick summary is that I opted for methotrexate because nothing was explained to me properly at the ti...

Hi I didn’t want to just read and run. I’m on day 12 post second dose of methotrexate. My levels were similar to yours but not quite as high at 3888 and I was (and still am) experiencing the same worries. I had another 2 scans since and everything has stayed the same, But my levels are dropping and ...
