Re: Expectant management over Christmas

Hi Lolly, I'm relieved that your HCG is going down too and that it's almost over for you. I can't imagine how it's been for you having to wait. It's totally normal to have all sorts of conflicting feelings I don't know about you, but for me, it was the moment that I stopped bleeding that it became &...

Good luck today Kelly. I hope things go as well as they can given the horrible situation. Be as kind to yourself as you possibly can and rest.

We are all here for you.

Re: Expectant management over Christmas

Hi Lolly,

Fingers crossed for tomorrow then.

Having a bad couple of days emotionally to be honest. It seems like for a few family members, now that I've had the operation, it's all done and we can start trying again! I'm glad others are much more supportive.

Have a peaceful rest of your day x

Re: Belly button healing

Hi Laura,

I can't really help as I'm only day 8 post-op - I'd just say follow the advice of the hospital in respect of wound care - sometimes things just take longer!

Re: Expectant management over Christmas

Hi Lolly, If you've got any worries, you could always give your EPAU a call? Even if it's just for reassurance. It's an emotionally draining time as it is and you need to look after your physical health too. I went for a little walk yesterday and found it to be refreshing after almost a week stuck i...

Re: Expectant management over Christmas

Hi Lolly,

I'm glad your husband is being supportive. You need each other right now.

I'll be hoping your HCG is dropping too, so you're one step closer to being out of "limbo".

Lots of love x

Re: Any help or advice appreciated x

Hi,

I'm sorry you're going through this. I ended up needing surgical management of my ectopic, so can't comment on the methotrexate but try to be kind to yourself over the next few days, weeks and months.

Enjoy your Christmas as best you can. xx

Re: Expectant management over Christmas

Hi Lolly, I'm sorry that you're having to wait for answers over Christmas. You say that you're struggling with telling yourself you're "lucky". I can see how you are trying to look at it in terms of not needing medical or surgical intervention, but at the same time, you have/are experienci...

Re: Is anger normal?

Hi Newbie,

I would say anger is totally normal. I'm day 5 post-op and my thoughts and feelings seem very similar to those you have shared.

I don't have any words that might help as I am still very early in my own journey, but please know you're not alone.

Re: Ectopic Pregnancy & COVID19 experiences

I'm now day one post surgery for an ectopic. This was my first pregnancy. We had joked that I might be pregnant because I had really tender breasts but I'd been bleeding for 6 weeks straight so didn't really think it possible until 10/12/20 when I passed something I've never seen before. It turns ou...
