Cerazette and EP

Post by Louise123 »

To those who have had an ectopic pregnancy, were you taking Cerezette before?

I wasn't aware there are increased risks of EPs as a result of taking it. I was on it for about 4 years and now worried I am to blame for my EP now I know this information.

Hi Louise,

I hadn't been on the pill for years and still had an ep. It's awful when you hear / read something like that. I was on the pill before my first mc. It was my first pregnancy and we caught the month I stopped taking it. But someone told me afterwards that there's a higher risk of mc if you get pg straight after being on the pill and I beat myself up about it for ages.

The truth is there's lots of women who have an ep or a mc after being on the pill but there's lots who don't and there's no way to know if you'd have had the same outcome if you hadn't been on the pill.

Don't blame yourself hun. It doesn't get you anywhere and makes it harder to move on. Be kind to yourself, you deserve it. Much love xxx
