Pain in lower abdomanal muscles-possible UTI?
Pain in lower abdomanal muscles-possible UTI?
The wound itself is fine and I understand that is where most of the work took place during surgery so probably going to take longest to recover. However it is still quite painful, especially when my bladder is full and I need to wee. The wee itself isn't stingy like previous UTI I've had its just the muscles around there that feel sore. Did /does anyone else have similar pain. Do you think it could be a UTI or just muscles recovering? I have no other symptoms such as a temperature etc.
Thanks so much everyone. this site has been a lifesaver in helping me get over this horrible time!

Yes it is like you describe. Painkillers do help it as am. How long did you feel you needed to stay on painkillers for?

I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss,
It is normal to experience some pain as you recover over the next few weeks and pain and bruising is part of the healing process. The discomfort should reduce over the next few weeks and I would suggest taking the pain relief that has been prescribed for you as directed by your doctors.
As I am not medically trained I would advise that If you find that you have an increased body temperature of more than 37°C or offensive smelling discharge or wound sites start oozing or feels hot to touch, please do get medical attention as soon as possible as these can be signs of infection. If the pain continues despite regular pain relief, do seek medical advice and you could always take a urine sample to be on the safe side.
Sending much love,
Karen x
