Can you have a period, but NOT release an egg?

Post by Katymcc88- »

Hi,

I have a question, I've tried to Google the answer but can't get a straight forward answer so I've been left feeling more confused.

My question is, can a women have a period each month without actually releasing an egg?

Thank you in advance xx

Dear Katymcc88-,
Unfortunately I am not medically trained but I have a website which explains that ovulation and periods are not linked

https://patient.info/doctor/menstruatio ... -disorders

If you are concerned about anything to do with your menstrual cycle, please do not hesitate to discuss with your Dr.
I hope this helps,
Much love,
Karen x
