Dear Lynette,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss,
I am sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss and the worries you are having now. I can understand your having concerns and this is perfectly normal after everything you have been through recently.
Sadly I am not medically trained so cannot give you specific advice on your symptoms and with such limited information, it is also difficult, however I am happy to provide a general overview. The discharge may be ovulatory, it is possibly signs of infection or possibly pregnancy related so I would advise speaking to your GP or medical professional.

Before you can have a period you have to ovulate. It is possible to ovulate within 14 days after surgical treatment so it is possible to become pregnant without having a proper period first if you are not using some form of contraception. If there is any chance that you might be pregnant, please do contact your doctors as soon as you can. A pregnancy test may not necessarily show as positive and as you have had unusual discharge, I think it would be worth getting medical attention and speaking to your doctors.
Please seek urgent medical advice if you have unusual bleeding, pain or feel unwell or dizzy.

As a gentle reminder regarding conceiving again, we and many medical professionals advise waiting for two menstrual cycles. It is important to allow time for your body to recover and emotions to surface and be worked through. This is so that you have some comfort that your body is returning to its natural rhythm and you have a last menstrual period date from which to date a new pregnancy - key information in checking you are not suffering from an ectopic pregnancy in the future. The first bleed soon after surgery for ectopic pregnancy is not classed as a period as it is the body's response to falling hormone levels.

Sending much love,
Karen x
