Heartbroken and devastated over heterotrophic pregnancy

Post by Pipb »

So I’m 3 weeks post surgery for the complete removal of my left Fallopian tube and pregnancy at 6 weeks.
I was still felling pregnant so I went for a blood test on Wednesday my HCG levels were +33k I was sent straight to EPU today where they did a scan.
The pseudo sack that the surgeon had told me was common turned out to be a pregnancy
Unfortunately and devastatingly I’m measuring 71/2 weeks and she couldn’t find a heartbeat ( I should be 9 wks)
I have a re scan next Friday but I’m totally broken I was just coping with losing the ectopic and now I have to deal with this.
If I don’t mc naturally then I’ve got all that to look forward to.
I just cannot believe how incredibly awful this is.
I don’t suppose anyone can really give me any solace atm and I’m not even sure why I’m writing this here but I’m just feeling so so so empty

So sorry you’re going through this sadness and stress. The miscarriage association has some forums which are more active than here. Whilst this forum is great for the ectopic side, that side has lots of support regarding the waiting around, the general loss and natural vs medical management, the recovery after etc. It’s super supportive and a bit more active than this board (which is great for specialist help!)

Thinking of you X

Am so sorry for your loss. Try to keep in mind that where there is life, there is hope. Try to take one blessing at a time. I mean, as long as you are alive, there is always hope. I hope that a year from now you will feel that this was only a trying moment and everything will be fine. Emotional distress is worse than the physical pain.at one point I thought no one would understand what I was going through. Spend time with loved ones, only keep around people or the person that makes you happy. U can also decide to learn a new skill to divert your attention. For me, I bought a sewing machine and spent the time learning how to to make dresses using YouTube DIY videos. I was shocked how the first horrible month flew by
My prayers are with you. You need to allow your body to fully recover, at least 2 months. But the emotional roller coaster may take more time

Dear Pipb,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and losses. To experience one loss is difficult to deal with multiple losses is heartbreaking and my heart truly goes out to you.
There is no timeframe for recovery, please be kind to yourself and allow time to grieve, to heal both physically and emotionally.
We will be here for you for as long as you need,
Sending much love and warm hugs,
Karen x
