Small update since last appt. Still no further forward!

Post by Anxiouslywaiting89 »

So - they didn’t really tell me much at all. Apart from my tubes / ovaries are clear and i saw a big wig consultant and she said she is confident this is a ‘ pregnancy ‘ in the right place due to there being a white shadow around it. Also she saw a fetal pole ? Which wasn’t seen before. I had another blood test and I was told I will likely miscarry in a few days and if not I have another internal next week Thursday. My hcg levels were at 43,000 - when I got home I got a call saying they were now at 55,000 !!!! And I was told I have to wait for next weeks scan. What does this even mean???? The consultant said she was confident my hcg levels would drop but she never mentioned what would happen if they didn’t??! Thank you for all your support !! More waiting for me. Meh.

Hi Anxiouslywaiting89,

I am so sorry to hear that you are going through this worrying time. I know how frustrating the waiting and not knowing can be. I'm not medically qualified so am unable to comment on your specific situation. However, it's very reassuring to hear that they are continuing to monitor you. I know it is so difficult to be calm while all of this is on-going, but as best as you can it's important to look after yourself. Of course, please do monitor for any symptoms of rupture (one-sided abdominal pain, shoulder tip pain, ongoing bleeding) and be sure to visit A&E or dial 999 in the case of these symptoms of rupture.

We are here for you whenever and for as long as you need.

With good wishes,

Michele
