Pregnant after ectopic in November

Post by Yasdnil »

Hi,
I have just discovered I am 5 weeks pregnant after having ectopic and methotrexate in November. I have a scan booked for 7 weeks with epu. I’m soo so scared it will be ectopic again and I am barely sleeping. I don’t know what to do with myself. I didn’t have surgery last time just methotrexate and have 2 children from previous pregnancy’s. But I am so so scared it will happen again I don’t know how I will cope

Hey hun , I am currently going through what you went through In November, I had the injection on Monday for my small ectopic and waiting for my hcg levels to go down now , what was your level when you had your first injection mine is 31 , also it’s natural for you to feel worried and scared , but your gonna be closely monitored, and I’m sure everything will be okay I hope fingers crossed , you just gotta have faith, women do go on too have normal and healthy pregnancy’s after :) so all we can do is keep positive

Hi,
My original hcg before the methotrexate was 1100- it doubled to 2500 with the methotrexate initially (which is expected) then after another 48 hrs began to come down. It took a few weeks but I didn’t have any adverse affects from the injections or feel unwell luckily. I hope it’s all over for you soon, it’s such an emotional time. We have only been able to try from March due to the methotrexate and managed to get pregnant so I know I am very lucky. But as I said I’m soo nervous and worried. I just want the scan to know.
Anyways Thanks for your message. Look after yourself and take all the support emotionally or other you are offered. Lots of love xxx
