Pregnant after ectopic treated with methotrexate

Post by Freya101 »

Looking for a little bit hope... found out I was pregnant again this morning but can’t help but over think every little ache and pain. Every month since I had my ectopic in June 19 ( treated with methotrexate) I can feel when I ovulate and have aches and pains. I know I ovulated from my right side this month and that’s the side I had my ectopic on. I’m so worried/ scared I have an early scan booked in but this week and a half wait is going to drive me insane :(

Hi Freya101,

Whispered congratulations on your pregnancy. After all, you've been through, its very normal to feel anxious about becoming pregnant following an ectopic pregnancy. I remember how nervous I was when I first fell pregnant following my ectopic pregnancy and waiting for the scan. Please be reassured that you have friends here who understand.

It is good to hear that you have booked in for an early scan, as hopefully, that will provide some early reassurance. I know it may be difficult to do, but the best thing is to listen to your body. If it is tired, take time to rest. It's hard advice to take, but please try not to worry. Be mindful of your symptoms, write them down if needed, and certainly, if any pain causes you concern, please contact your GP or A&E.

With good wishes,

Michele
