Help...

Post by Emily201088 »

So it’s been confirmed I have an ectopic pregnancy in my right tube. There was no consultant on this morning so the hospital have sent me home and said to watch for pain and or bleeding.

I’m concerned they’ve just sent me home!? It measured 13mm in my right tube. Is that not big?

Hi Emily,
So sorry to hear this, I’ve recently been going through an ectopic, when I found out the pregnancy was ectopic mine was a similar size but I had blood tests to confirm what was happening, and after that I was given the option to have surgery or a methotrexate injection. Have they not said to go back tomorrow? I had a scan at the EPU (early pregnancy unit) and they have been doing everything since. I would push to see the unit and have blood tests etc so you know exactly what’s going on and so they can monitor you and make any recommendations. Sending lots of love through this difficult time.

Dear Emily201088,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss,
I hope by now that someone from your local EPU has contacted you. If they haven't, I would chase this up tomorrow by contacting them and whilst I do not wish to alarm you, please seek urgent medical advice with any worsening abdominal pain, any shoulder tip pain, or you feel dizzy and unwell.
Sending much love,
Karen x

Definitely advocate for yourself. The earlier they take care of this the better. Go to a different hospital if you need to, but make sure they do something to help you asap.

Ladies, so sorry it took me so long to come back.

I returned to EPU less than 24hrs after they sent me home, I was rupturing. Rushed down for emergency surgery to remove the right tube. X
