Early positive?

Post by Laco2425279 »

I had an ectopic pregnancy in January - when I found out I was pregnant I didn’t get a positive until a week after I was due on.

This time around I got a positive a week before my period was due! I’m feeling hopeful but obviously driving myself insane waiting for our early scan!!

I just wondered when you had an ectopic did you ever get an early positive? I read that a late positive is a sign but couldn’t find anything about early! 🤞🏼

Dear Laco2425279,
Whispered congratulations on your pregnancy,
Unfortunately timing of pregnancy test or how strong the positive line is are not reliable tests to check whether a pregnancy is ectopic or not.
I know it seems never ending waiting for early scans, you have friends here who understand. Try to keep yourself busy and mind occupied.
Sadly I do have to remind you to seek urgent medical advice with any bleeding, abdominal pain, shoulder tip pain or feeling dizzy and unwell.
Sending much love and positive thoughts,
Karen x

I tested positive at 4wks with my current 10mo old.

I tested positive at 3wks with my ovarian ectopic I’m currently tracking via MTX. Diagnosed ectopic @ 5wks after 2 ER visits for bleeding.
