In search of some help/advice & success stories.
In march 2019 we concieved then in June 2019 I was having surgery to remove our 12 week fetus and right fallopian tube.. those times were difficult but as time went by we excepted it and since then tried to conceive again. Nothing has happened for us.. I feel like my body is failing me every month when my period arrives when weve tried numerous things to help us. I plucked up the courage to speak to my gp and I've had a blood test they came back normal,my partner is due to do his semen sample and they have referred me for an ultrasound which am yet waiting for a letter to confirm when.. I just dont see what the problem is why we cant concieve. I have a child who is 12 from a previous relationship so I've had a pregnancy before. I've tried ovulation tests,checked my CM, spent loads of money of different vitamins etc and still nothing!! Can anyone share any of there experiences with trying to concieve after tubal removal? Did you have tests? What worked for you?

I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss and continued concerns.
I very much understand that strong desire to conceive. I appreciate how frustrating it can be if it isn't happening as quickly as we would like. Conceiving successfully can take time and can take some couples more than a year or so.
While generally it is possible to conceive after an ectopic pregnancy, the amount of time it takes varies from couple to couple. Factors include age, general health, reproductive health and how often you have sex, among other things. It may be comforting to know that 65% of women are successfully pregnant within 18 months of experiencing an ectopic pregnancy and some studies suggest this rises to around 85% after two years.
In addition. having regular sex means having sex every 2/3 days throughout the month. Guidance from the UK's National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence advises that having sex around the time when the woman ovulates causes stress and is not recommended. We here at the EPT suggest having intercourse 2/3 times between days 10-20 of their cycle when trying to conceive. We also have information on our website on trying to conceive here:
Importantly, help is available if conceiving naturally has not yet been successful after some time trying and it is good that you are taking steps to see if there are any reasons why you haven't conceived yet, but we do hear from many women who successfully conceive following surgery.
