Red Wine

Post by Michelle2983 »

Hi everyone

I had the injection 7 days ago to stop any further development of my ectopic pregnancy and wondering when it’s ‘safe’ to have a glass of wine again.

Thanks M x

Dear M,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss,
We advise that you should refrain from drinking alcohol until the levels have fallen to a non-pregnant state. Methotrexate is metabolized/absorbed in the liver and tissue cells so you do not want to increase the work the liver needs to do by also having to process alcohol.

We have more information on Methotrexate here

Sending much love,
Karen x
