Could this be ectopic?

Post by Nicmc »

After lots of googling I came across this page so looking for some advice if possible. So myself and my gf are going through artificial insemination to conceive, soon after ovulation she started to develop pregnancy symptoms which just developed over the 2 weeks, with practically every symptom possible, however, every test was negative! She normally has a regular 28 day cycle with just cramps but she started 2 days late and was light for first day which were both unusual to start with, got little heavier yday and now today she barely had anything plus no usual period cramps! But she is convinced something isn’t right. She is experiencing tension and pain in her stomach but not usual cramps. Dizzy/lightheaded, nausea and some other pregnancy symptoms. Yet test still negative! Could this be an ectopic?

Dear Nicmc,
I am so sorry to hear of the worrying time you and your girlfriend are going through.
Ectopic pregnancy can be notoriously difficult to diagnose. A negative pregnancy test makes it less worrying however sometimes hCG levels rise slowly.
Sadly I am not medically trained so cannot give you specific advice on the symptoms and I would advise seeking medical advice. Whilst I do not wish to alarm you I would advise to seek urgent medical advice with any worsening symptoms.
Sending much love,
Karen x
