Re: Methotrexate
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss.
I went back to work about a week after having methotrexate and in hindsight it was hard to early. I was also surprised by the sheer level of exhaustion I felt.
When we experience ectopic pregnancy we are suddenly faced with a life threatening emergency and it's treatment, reduction in fertility, concerns about the future and the loss of our babies. Experiencing any one of these is an ordeal, putting them together is immense and your feelings are completely normal. Take the time you need. If this week is looking particularly tough, take more time off. You can speak to your GP about extending your sick note if needed.
Above all be kind to yourself and allow time to grieve, to heal both physically and emotionally.
We will be here for you for as long as you need,
Sending much love,
Karen x

Re: Methotrexate
I am now 13 weeks pregnant, have had my 12 week scan and everything is ok. I still have moments of doubt and disbelief but I am so incredibly fortunate to have this baby inside of me, I am thrilled and can now enjoy this. My partner has been incredible, listening to all of my worry, being a rock of stability and positivity and a distraction when I have felt the worry becoming too much.
It can happen, I will never forget my ectopic and the dark place it takes you too, but there can be a happy ending.
