Contraception after 2 Ectopic’s

Post by Sophfel »

Hi,

Can anyone give me any advice on the contraception that is advised after Ectopic’s? I was told that due to having my tube removed I could not have the coil again? Is this true? I am worried about having another ectopic so want to be covered!

Dear Sophfel,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss,
Unfortunately I am not medically trained and cannot advise on specific methods for you.
We have information on our website regarding contraception following ectopic pregnancy here.
https://ectopic.org.uk/patients/your-bo ... pregnancy/
I would recommend reading this and discussing your options with your GP or local family planning team.

Sending much love,
Karen x
