HCG rise 6 weeks after methotrexate for PUL

Post by SarahScone »

As above, really 😞
Anyone have any similar experiences?? It got down to 20s and then went up to 30s. So still tiny but it’s unsettling and I’m anxious about it.
We really want to get pregnant again ASAP (I am 37 and partner has very low sperm count) and I am terrified about more methotrexate and the subsequent delay.

Hi Sarah,

I'm very sorry to hear you are going through this worrying time. As I'm not medically qualified, I cannot comment on your specific situation, but always encourage people to continue following up with their GP and doctors. If you are continuing to be monitored, that is a good thing. If your levels rise again you may well find that you are offered the methotrexate injection, as long as it is suitable for you.

It is important continue to monitor for any changing symptoms of rupture, as you are not yet to non-pregnant levels, and to be seen by A&E or calling 111, if you feel concerned. I know it can feel never-ending, but please do continue to look after yourself and rest as you can. We are here for you throughout.

With good wishes,

Michele

Hi Sarah!

I'm reading through posts and wanted to check if you have an update on this? :(
Hope yoir numbers are decreasing. I'm living a similar experience now and I know the wait between tests can feel like ages. Sending you hugs!
