First pregnancy ectopic, how to cope.

Post by ToshaAnn5 »

I found out I was 3weeks pregnant 7days later the ultrasound showed a left tubal ectopic pregnancy. They said that its early enough where they can just give me the medicine to prevent it from growing and i wont need surgery. I cried and tried to think about the goodside (just started my career, fiance planning to go back to school etc...) but this morning it really hit me. Eventhough it was viable in the spot it was in it was still a life and now its gone.........i just feel like somethings wrong with me like i cant plant a baby in the right place. How long did it take you all to cope with this loss? Any advice?

Every person deals with loss differently. Your feelings are normal, but it’s not your fault. Time will help you come to terms with it, but the hurt will never leave and that’s ok. We’ve personally taken the stance of “if it is for we it will be” and just let God have the final say. We can’t control nature, but can prepare ourselves for what may happen to be better equipped to handle what does happen. You are not alone! Take some time to heal (lots of crying-I still cry randomly) and you will have a better perspective. I know researching ectopic pregnancy really helped me to understand that it just happens sometimes.

We plan to try again as long as I can naturally. Hopefully, next time is a homerun.
