Pregnant after Methotrexate - before the recommended wait.

Hi,

I was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy in May and i was treated with low dose of Methotrexate on 18th May. Exactly a month later on 18th June my levels dropped to <2 and i started my 1st period on the same day - 18th June. Its now 23rd July and i have missed my period this month. I took a home pregnancy test and this is positive for a pregnancy.

Has anyone else fallen pregnant before the recommended wait time?

Dear SW1,
Whispered congratulations on your pregnancy,
As we recommend taking folic acid for 12 weeks before trying to conceive following methotrexate injection, I would advise making an appointment to discuss this with your GP.
We also advise contacting you local EPU to book an early pregnancy scan at around 6 weeks.

Hi Karen,

Thank you. I've had my hcg took three times and I'm booked in for an early scan next week. HCG'S have more than doubled so I'm taking that as a positive :-)
